The Challenge

Oryx Bank is the brainchild of Vera Shokina, a Managing Director at Silicon Valley Bank. She wanted to explore the depth of possibilities in providing innovative banking solutions to its customers with a focus on digital technology and customer experience.


The name "Oryx" was chosen as a representation of the bank's strength, elegance, and resilience. Oryx Bank is designed to be an significant player in the WEB3 economy, which is the next generation of the internet and includes blockchain, cryptocurrency, and decentralized finance (DeFi). They had a particular focus on providing these innovative banking services within the UAE.

Our approach

Comprehensive Brand Design Sprint

We embarked on a full-scale brand design sprint with Oryx Bank, aiming to create an identity that was both culturally resonant and distinctively modern.

  • We developed complete brand guidelines that encompassed tone, manner, and color schemes, ensuring consistency across all brand communications.
  • A sophisticated visual identity system was established, incorporating the unique logomark and a color palette reflective of the bank’s values and the region's aesthetics.
  • The design language was tailored to communicate trust, innovation, and the bank's commitment to its customers.
